The ex-footballer's boutique center boosts their spAce BOX training with Aplifit's heart rate monitoring.
The premium boutique training center spAce by 9F, owned by Fernando Torres, opened in September in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid), introducing new technology to monitor and enhance the activity of spAce BOX. The installation of Aplifit Play system, along with Impact Wrap to measure punches on the boxing bag, aims to provide a motivating and engaging training experience for users, helping them better achieve their goals.
The Aplifit platform allows spAce to measure the heart rate of its clients, displaying it on the screen during the session. Users can also check the results and progress of each workout through the app. In this virtual community environment, spAce clients can share their workouts, interact with other club members, view their position in different rankings, and follow challenges and posts from spAce by 9F. With this technology, Aplifit offers spAce the opportunity to gamify and socialize the training experience even more.
On the other hand, the Impact Wrap system monitors the force of punches on the boxing bags, assigns a score, and displays it in real time on a screen in the room. After the session, clients can also review their results via email and the Impact Wrap app, including their training history. This enables spAce to create more controlled and intelligent training sessions with the boxing bags.
About spAce by 9F
spAce by 9F is a boutique training studio concept driven by Nine Fitness, a gym chain created by former footballer Fernando Torres and entrepreneurs Óscar and Javier Meléndez. Their first studio, now equipped with Impact Wrap and Aplifit, is a 400 sqm facility located in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid). Nine Fitness plans to open another boutique studio under the same brand in the residential area of Valdebebas, also in the capital.
spAce centers offer their own training methodology, the spAce Method, which focuses on three specialized training types: Skill X (performance-oriented group training), spAce BOX (based on the essence of boxing and innovative training methods), and spAce SOUL (focused on finding balance between body and mind, incorporating Pilates, Yoga, and meditation). Additionally, these studios provide the option of OPEN spAce, for open training with state-of-the-art equipment, as well as the possibility of having a personal trainer.
